Xenical Orlistat is a prescription pill that has been manufactured by Roche pharmaceuticals for the treatment of obesity. Obesity is measured using the Body Mass Index scale. If you have a BMI of 25 or above you are defined as clinically overweight, while if you are over 30 you are classified as obese. Xenical is suitable for you if you are overweight (BMI between 25-29.9) and have other weight related conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure or you are clinically obese (BMI of 30 and above).
Xenical is a clinically proven and safe drug treatment that, in conjunction with a calorie controlled diet and regular exercise helps aid weight loss. It does this by blocking the fat you consume in your diet from being absorbed by your body. Any undigested fat is simply removed from your body through your usual bowel movements. Whilst taking Xenical for the treatment of obesity, you should eat a low calorie, low fat diet as this not only helps to aid your weight loss but also reduces the risk of experiencing any unpleasant side effects.
Your doctor may advise you to discontinue using Xenical if you have been taking the treatment for 3 months, and have been unable to lose at least 5% of your total body weight.
Xenical contains orlistat as the main ingredient, which unlike other prescription weight loss pills target your digestive system rather than influencing your brain. Xenical attaches itself to the lipase enzyme found in the digestive tract of your body, which breaks down fats. This process helps to aid weight loss by blocking the absorption of your dietary fats.
Xenical is available in capsule form in the strength of 120mg. You simply take 1 Xenical capsule with water with each main meal, 3 times per day. You should not exceed this recommended dosage, as an overdose of orlistat pills may cause you to experience some detrimental side effects.
Although Xenical is a useful drug for weight loss, it is a prescription medication so does cause some side effects. One side effect of Xenical is a decrease in the amount of vitamin A, D, E, and K that is absorbed by your body. The reason for this is that vitamins A, D, E and K are soluble in fat. As there is a decrease in the amount of fat that is absorbed by your body, there is somewhat of a decrease in the absorption of these vitamins. Doctors usually recommend you take a nutritional supplement while taking Xenical orlistat for weight loss to make up for this vitamin loss. Since Xenical does not affect your nervous system or your heart, it is safe for the majority of people to use.
The side effects of orlistat are mainly related to the digestive system. It affects normal bowel movements and you may experience an oily discharge, an inability to control your bowels and an increased number of bowel movements in a day. These side effects are visible during the first week after starting orlistat for weight loss. However, you can consult your GP if these cause you further problems.
Other side effects of Xenicak orlistat include headaches, diarrhoea, fatigue, and anxiety.
It is very important that you obtain a prescription from your doctor to take orlistat. The prescription method ensures that you are safe to take Xenical. Although the Xenical orlistat online consultation for weight loss is a convenient method, it should not be seen as an alternative to replace a face-to-face consultation with a doctor.
In the UK, you should only buy Xenical orlistat after consulting your GP. There are millions of people in the UK who are obese or overweight. However, you should buy Xenical orlistat only if it is prescribed for you by a doctor or an online doctor once you have completed an online consultation.
